"Robotics technology will fuel a broad array of products and solutions in manufacturing, health care, agriculture, national defense and transportation. Robots are also an engaging way for young students to learn about science, technology, engineering and math. The 2nd annual Robot Block Party is a fun way to build the skills that prepare our students for a 21st century workforce."
—Rhode Island Governor Gina Raimondo, Honorary Chair of the RI Robot Block Party 2015 |

Rhode Island Students of the Future is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that engages young people in science, technology, engineering, math and manufacturing through youth robotics. We provide infrastructure for hands-on, inquiry based STEM outreach programs including FIRST® LEGO® League, professional development workshops for teachers, and the Robot Block Party.
The Humanity Centered Robotics Initiative at Brown University is a group of faculty, students and affiliates dedicated to using robotics as a means to tackle the problems the world faces. Beyond pursuing the goal of technological advancement, we want to ensure that new developments are beneficial to society and to understand the ethical, legal and economic questions that arise with its development. Our work includes social scientists, engineering disciplines, and medical experts, to name a few, and aims to help create and understand robots that coexist harmoniously with humans. |
